Personal Banker I

|Description:||The ideal candidate will be in a sales and service role in the branch banking environment that focuses on needs-based probing and analysis to retain and expand existing relationships and acquire new business. The candidate also performs daily support activities, ensures customer satisfaction, and adheres to all branch policies and procedures.|
|Duties:||Promotes, recommends, and opens deposit and loan accounts in accordance with the Bank’s sales and service philosophy, regulatory policies and procedures, and operational guidelines for accuracy and completeness. |
Solicits new customer relationships through personal efforts, collaboration with branch staff and banking partners, and aggressive cross-selling programs. Refers customers to other lines of business when appropriate and makes appropriate introductions to specialists.
Ensures customer satisfaction by consistently delivering customer-centric and reliable service based on objectives of growing, enhancing, and retaining relationships, while modeling the same behaviors.
Contacts clients/prospects, Identifies needs, Presents solutions/recommendations and Reports results to management.
Promotes teamwork in all activities within the branch and the Bank.
Assists with branch deposit and consumer and small business sales and lending efforts, as directed.
May assist with duties and support-related activities involving the day-to-day operations of a branch service center, as needed.
Assists on teller line as needed.
Adheres to all safety, soundness, and security controls of branch office.
May conduct sales and service meetings, as needed.
Serves as a sales and service role model within the banking center projecting confidence and seeking opportunities for growth and development.
|Qualifications:||4-year college degree in business, banking or related field is strongly desired, or equivalent in education and work experience; |
Demonstrated sales skill and knowledge of financial products and services designed for consumer and commercial clients;
2-5 years experience in a branch banking environment with responsibilities that include branch operations, small business and/or consumer lending, and customer relations and support;
Basic knowledge of consumer lending regulations and compliance procedures;
Excellent communication, organization, and multi-tasking skills;
Demonstrated capabilities related to sales and business development;
Proficiency in Windows PC environment and bank systems software.
